Listen up, you artists. Get yourself a $2,000 contract to design a piece of art to mark Kelowna鈥檚 hosting of the Canadian Country Music Awards in September.听
The city is now accepting pitches on 鈥渋mmersive art installations鈥 to displayed around Kelowna between Sept. 10 and 13.
鈥淲e can鈥檛 wait to see what unique and creative projects our local art community comes up with to help celebrate,鈥 cultural services manager Christine McWillis says in a release.听
鈥淭hese installations will blend the spirit of country music with Kelowna鈥檚 vibrant character - crafting immersive, photo-worthy experiences that bring fans, artists and the community together,鈥 says Keith Buggy, CCMA marketing manager.听
Projects can be made from any medium and will be featured at locations in the Cultural District and other spots around town, such as the airport, the Community Theatre, and Delta Grand Hotel.听
