(Staff) — The charity group 100 Women Who Care Kelowna has donated $9,150 to Helen’s Acres, a local non-profit farm working to tackle food insecurity in the Central Okanagan.
The money was raised during an event recently at DunnEnzies in the Mission.
Four times per year, members each donate $100 to a selected non-profit after hearing pitches from three organizations. The next gathering will be Aug. 13 at Cristalina Parc. Helen’s Acres grow food for those who need it. In 2025, they are on track to produce 120,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables, cultivated by volunteers.
