There will be plenty of fun for all ages as West Kelowna hosts its annual Westside Daze festival this weekend.
Today (Saturday, July 12, 2025) will be jam-packed with events.
Fuel up for the morning at a pancake breakfast at the Lions Hall from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Breakfast costs $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12.
The Westside Daze parade takes place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Because of the closure of the Butt Road and Old Okanagan Hwy intersection, the parade route has been modified. The parade starts on Old Okanagan Hwy at Bering Road and heads south, turning right on Drought Road and right again on Brown Road.
It finishes at the corner of Brown and Bering Roads. Those who want to get soaked can take part in the free-for-all of water antics in the Wet Zone on Brown Road between Bering and Gossett Roads.
Following the parade, the fun moves to West Kelowna’s Memorial Park by the Johnson-Bentley pool.
The Kids’ Zone from noon to 4 p.m. will offer plenty of free family fun, with foam parties at 1 and 3 p.m., giant inflatables as well as reptiles and other exotic animals with the Little Reptile Queen.
There will also be entertainment at the Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre in Memorial Park, with Tae Kwon Do demonstrations and dance performances in the afternoon.
Bring a chair and blanket and enjoy a free concert under the stars Saturday night. Jonathan Williams starts things off at 6 p.m., followed by Appaloosa at 7 p.m. Headliner Munro & Patrick takes the stage at 8:30 p.m.
Following the concert, a drone show will light up the night sky above Memorial Park at 10 p.m.
Shooting Star Amusements will be bringing the thrills with its midway set up in the Westbank First Nation field near the Gellatly Road round about. The midway will be open from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
